The world is changing at a rapid pace. Life feels intense as many of us try to find our footing during a time of upheaval.

For years we’ve been confronted with wide-ranging challenges including the climate crisis, economic volatility, cultural conflict, technological disruption, political unrest and the mental health crisis. How do we respond effectively to these complex problems?

This moment is ripe for change. More than ever we need transformational leaders, organizations and communities who can work together to guide us towards a thriving future, rooted in human and ecological well-being.

We can learn to renew ourselves and re-imagine our world, together.

We need inspired and empowered changemakers who are driven to make a difference.

They need supportive communities and enabling resources that can make their visions a reality.

We all aspire to live meaningful lives. We want to become our best selves, belong to a connected communities, and contribute to something that matters. And we all have a unique blend of knowledge, skills, ideas and energy that can benefit the world.

With over a decade of experience spent fostering innovative leaders across a variety of communities, I’ve seen how an intentional approach to empowering people has helped countless people discover their potential.

It’s possible to drastically grow the number of people who are inspired and empowered to contribute their knowledge, skills, ideas and energy towards shared goals. By tapping into their personal strengths, connecting into collaborative networks, and reducing the barriers that stand in the way of change, we can enable more people to engage in transformational work.

How do we empower people and communities to thrive?

As a learning and development strategist, I use strategic thinking and systems leadership to make transformative change possible.

I design and develop learning experiences, group practices, community networks, organizational systems, and supportive resources. When aligned to a shared vision and goals - these conditions empower people, teams, organizations and communities to thrive in complex and challenging conditions.

My holistic approach to learning and development is informed by knowledge and practices from adult education, community development, design thinking, innovation, leadership and sustainability. They have been honed with over a decade of experience growing innovative leaders and collaborative communities at universities, not-for-profits and the public service.

With life-changing learning experiences and empowering support systems, changemakers can discover their potential and grow their impact.

What have I been a part of?

Over my decade-long career as a learning and development professional, I've worked alongside leaders from diverse backgrounds to develop capacity-building initiatives that empower people, teams and communities.

This has included:

  • Designing and developing workplace initiatives to support culture change

  • Facilitating skill-building workshops related to leadership, innovation and sustainability

  • Developing information systems, organizational processes, and supportive resources

  • Creating marketing, communications and engagement strategies

  • Fostering community partnerships and organizing collective impact approaches
