About me
Hi, I’m Kevan
I was raised in Calgary, Treaty 7 territory in Alberta, a land of open skies, flowing rivers and rugged mountains that profoundly shaped the ways I connect with the worlds inside and outside of myself. Today, I am a resident of Victoria, living in the traditional and unceded lands of Coast Salish Peoples. It is where I actively work to heal my relationships and those within my communities as my ongoing commitment to reconciliation.
My life centers around fostering meaningful connections and improving well-being. At this time of social transformation, I believe we all need inspiring experiences and supportive spaces that help us grow in relationship with ourselves, each other, and the world we share. My experiences supporting adult learning and community development have shown me that we're better when we're in it together.
My passion for personal development, community gathering, and cultural transformation is supported by undergraduate degrees in business and sustainable development, a master’s degree in adult education, and a lifetime of learning inspired by nature and community.

My guiding questions
This constellation of guiding questions helps me navigate the currents of a rapidly changing world by re-centering what matters most:
What does it mean to live a meaningful life?
When do I feel most alive and fulfilled?
How do I want to grow as a person and what am I excited to learn?
How can I live in integrity with my values and principles?
What have I learned from my past experiences?
What supportive conditions help me flourish?
How am I a part of histories and ecologies that extend beyond my own life?
How can I care for the well-being of myself and others?
What am I responsible for, and how can I serve in a good way?
My values and beliefs
Learning is integral to a life well lived
The world is always changing and so am I. I thrive as I learn to dance with the shifting tides that life presents.
Adventure enables personal growth
Something exciting is around the corner if I’m willing to go look. Exploring new spaces helps me discover who I will become.
Beauty supports a positive mindset
We can’t change the world without love. Awe, wonder, and gratitude are feelings that uplift the spirit during difficult times.
Spirituality is life’s compass
Our lives centre around spiritual questions - who am I, why am I here, where do I belong, what do I care about? We need space and time to explore these together.
Community is our greatest teacher
We all have unique strengths and experiences to share. Connections with others help us understand the world more fully.
Relationships keep us together
We are social beings that need real connection to each other and the natural world to feel a sense of belonging.
Authenticity is a radical act
In a world overrun with illusions, living with an honest voice and vulnerable heart invites us to remember what is real.
Trust helps me find my way
The future is unknown; all I can do is decide how to show up in this moment. Working towards what’s possible gives life meaning.
My learning journey
A friend once told me that learning is everywhere. When we show up with presence and open ourselves to possibility, we make meaningful connections that help us learn who we are, where we belong, and what we’re here to do.
